The Anatomy of Orthopaedic Exposure Course
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th November 2017
James Cook University, Cairns Campus, Queensland
This is a two day intensive program aimed at providing Orthopaedic Advanced Trainees and aspiring non Trainees with an opportunity to perform cadaver based orthopaedics exposures common to both trauma and elective procedures.
Candidates will be provided with a manual listing and outlining objectives, steps to dissection of the approaches to upper and lower limbs and pelvis. Each candidate will perform these under the guidance and supervision of experienced faculty members. Each candidate will be assessed at the end of the 2nd day which will include knowledge of anatomy, demonstration of relevant structures, communication and teamwork.
The course has been accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
The course fee of $2000 includes:
- All course materials and equipment
- Personal supervision, mentoring and advice from Fellows
- Allocation to a station with only one other person
- Formal dinner, welcome reception, lunches, morning and afternoon teas
- A set of course scrubs and cap
